2017 Registration Information

Welcome to the Official Website for LJAL Football & Cheerleading.

Happy New Year LJAL Football and Cheer Families,

I hope that everyone has enjoyed their Holiday Season and winter break.

As we look forward to the 2017 Football and Cheer season, A “look forward” approach from all parents and players will keep the focus on working hard so that we improve each day.

With rising expenses (referees, medical trainers, equipment, insurance, facility maintenance, WLJFL & LJAL administration, etc.) we are proud to upkeep our registration fees from the 2016 season.

For the 2017 season, the registration rates will be as follows;

Registration Fees:  Flag Football $130,  Cheerleading $125, and Tackle Football $190.

 

In addition to these registration fees, each participant will be required to purchase a sport pack each season. The sport pack  for Flag  Cheerleaders/Cheerleading  is $140.  The sport pack for Flag Football/Tackle Football is $50.

 

Flag Cheer/Cheerleading Camp Pack Contents; Shoes, Spanks/Boy Shorts, Body Suit/Uniformed Under Garment, Cold Weather Tops, Cold Weather Bottoms,  Bow(s),  a Team/Event T-shirt, One Cheer Camp and a Family Day Outfit  (determined by the Unit). Some variations by Unit may occur.

 

Flag Football/Football Camp Pack Contents; Practice Jersey, Team T-Shirt, Game Socks and a Mouth Guard (and may vary by Unit). In addition to the camp pack, Flag Football and Tackle Football players are still required to purchase; rubber or plastic molded cleats (no screw in cleats are allowed), undergarments and an athletic support; this is the same as in past seasons.  Some variations by Unit may occur.

 

Mandatory Raffle: All Units will continue with the mandatory raffle fundraiser. Each family will be required to sell 20 tickets ($5 per ticket $100) per child. If a family has multiple children in the program, a max of 40 tickets ($5 per ticket $200) per family maybe required; this is determined by each Unit and their Unit needs. Our raffle fundraiser is asking for your time and effort; you can choose to pay this yourself or sell the tickets to re-coupe your money, this is your choice.

 

Veteran Registration (those who participated last season and returning in 2017 season) will occur during February 13th - 20th, please look for a communication from your current Unit with instructions.

 

The next Open Registration (those new to the LJAL Football/Cheer program or did not complete/participate in Football/Cheer during the 2016 season) will be Thursday March 9th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm and Tuesday  March 21st from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. Registration will take place at Dickenson Center which is located on the East side of Newburgh Road north of 6 Mile. Please use the doors on the south side of the building by soccer fields.

  • Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate to the complete the registration process. Leave it with us.
  • Please bring proof of residency so we can verify and place in proper Unit.
  • Registration will be done on-line at Dickinson after you are given code to register from walk-in process.  First come, first serve.  Computers will be available at Dickinson.

 

Multi-Child  Discounts – This is under review this year.  Further information to follow prior to registration.
